About the artist

I'm Rayan Rao, an artist and biomedical engineering student based in North Carolina. For me, painting is a way of placing a piece of myself onto the canvas. Every work reflects something I have felt, noticed, remembered, or imagined, even when that meaning is not immediately visible to anyone else. What began as a personal creative outlet has grown into an opportunity to share those pieces of myself with others. I hope that when someone connects with my work, they find something within it that feels personal to them as well. Every original artwork is created by me, and each print is produced from a piece I have chosen to share beyond the original canvas.
